Dual-fisheye viewer lets you view 360° spherical pictures and videos shot in a non-stitched dual-fisheye format used by spherical cameras like the Gear 360.Generally you only want to get this app if you bought a Gear 360 camera and don't have a supported smartphone or a PC.The app requires Metal support. Make sure your mac supports it: key closes open panorama.Exported photos are equirectangular panoramas that contain tags for various image sharing sites to detect that this is a 360° spherical image.Seamless stitching with parallax correction coming later.

For now you may want to try to adjust interpreted field of view of the image halves by using the 'fov' slider.Video playback may require a fast CPU. 4 core Intel i7 like the one in 15' MacBookPro or faster is recommended. Damon L., Almost there, but not ready yetThe biggest issue I found was that when loading an image captured by my Gear 360 camera (2017 version) this software didn't quite figure things out on its own.
Fisheye-Hemi fisheye lens correction software offers an aesthetically pleasing. Would appear very elongated and flattened, even though the area is correct. Affinity Photo 1.4.3 and higher versions Note: Mac applications must be 64-bit. When choosing a fisheye lens, it is important to match the lens image circle to the size of the CCD/CMOS imagers. Download fisheye lens image circle vs. Imager size diagram. In addition, we also provide a distortion processing software for optimizing still images taken with these lenses.
When I rotate the image I get wild artifacts on the screen, lots of white lines, random object shapes (like a big white triangle). I have a 2015 MacBook Pro so it supports Metal as the author requires. Other than that, the UI needs some additional polish. I can see the tool having potential though. Here's what I'd like to see, and if they were provided I would have paid even more for the software:1.
Let me select a directory of images and/or videos and the software should automatically stitch them together, with an optional user-specified output directory.2. Better UI polish.
This has the basics covered, but there should be more right-click options when selecting a file. Like 'stitch now.'
A quick tutorial. If nothing else, a simple UI overlay on the main screen that points out the features, and what to do.My 3-star rating doesn't mean the software is necessarily bad, especially since the price is reasonable. But if this was really made for the Gear 360, I don't see how the developer could have missed some of the random artifacts displaying on the screen when viewing images out-of-the-box with the Gear 360 files. Maybe I'm missing something. I also looked at the support page and it did not provide any fixes.
Friendlysandwich, Clearly unusableDo yourself a favor and stay away.I purchased to convert a 5.2MB file recorded on a Ricoh Theta- I needed to do a dual fisheye ('two big circles') to 'equirectangular' conversion. The file is 14 seconds long. 5.2 MBs Ithat's small). The app crashes CONSISTENTLY around the 7 second mark of the video no matter what. I tried with other videos, and the app still just crashes! Have not been able to get any successful utility out of this app.I am using a 2016, 2.9 GHz i5, 8GB computer that is totally updated. The only other apps I have running conurrently are Safari and Finder.
